Language and us

Language has been the greatest invention since man has come into existence. The way we write reflects the true us. Language is only a means to express our emotions and thoughts. Language is something that cannot be learned, it just evolves. Language is inborn and with age, it grows with us as we grow. Our thoughts evolve and change after the intake of every bit of knowledge served to us. The moment we are born, we have started absorbing knowledge. Initially, from what we see, hear or feel. The sensory organs start to sense the air, aroma and the touch of things. Whats happens to these bits of knowledge that has been captured from the outside world? They are simply stored in the brains. Some of these bits of knowledge needs an answer or a reaction, to which, we are unable to, as a baby. We as a baby are like a computer machine armed only with an input device but not an output device. At that age, although we are not aware of the data that we have inputted in our brain cells, we are inputting a large amount of data into our brains. There is an energy/ideas inside that is about to burst, energy that needs to be expressed and shown, it is called as our 'reaction to the action'. The output device takes time to develop. In order to express, we need to learn a way to express, some kind of language. Nature has pre-defined specific ways to express things, which are in the form of protocols. In fact, man himself has defined specific ways to do things. But the mistake the generation succeeding that made is, what once famous a protocol, is now the final and the only protocol. Our output devices needs to follow these protocols in order to successfully express what we want to express. That is what we are taught, 'Procedures to do things' at school - A place where we are taught only one way to express one particular expression i.e. A is for Apple, 2 + 2 = 4 etc. In fact, there are infinite ways to express one single expression i.e. A for Arc, 1 + 3 = 4 etc. Another example can be: Anger can be expressed in the form of physical fight, verbal fight, even calm but argumentative talk, a strong debate etc.

Schools and "educational institutions" usually consisting of people who are running the institution who believe there is only one protocol to express one expression. They only know one way to express anger and that is what we are taught or they only know A is for Apple, that is it. They do not teach us that there are various things starting with A, try to explore it. We are entitled to learn that one single protocol, we are not at an age to question things since we are new to it. This is where the grown baby's mind is limited and is enforced to follow that one single protocol. The baby has not been given the opportunity to explore the other ways or means to express what it wants to. That is where language comes in. One of the language is English. Yes, it has its own limitations but, it has maximized and given us the flexibility to generate our own expressions using combination of letters and words. It has given us the platform to build our own ideas using the 26 tools provided, the English alphabets. Look at it as Lego pieces. Give a child 10 different shaped lego pieces and look what all can they make. You will see the a young mind working and making best use of the tools provided. The shapes that they will produce is a language, it is a means to express their ideas they have with the tools provided to them.

This should be the way how a human brain should be taught. They should give us the platform and the tools to develop our own ideas. That is what gives birth to pure originality. Slowly, as and we use these tools, we shall realize their importance and also realize the scope of development that can be produced using them with different permutation and combination. Creativity comes with mix and match and that is what is called experimentation. The human brain is put to the best test when it tries to explore by itself.

The true definition of language according to me is:
It is simply an expression of ideas that has been generated by making the best use of existing elements provided to the creator.

After you read this, you will realize everything revolves around language, ideas and tools. What I believe, the two most important things a man needs to know to function and survive amongst others, given the fact that he has been given necessary tools (nature is a tool) for our lives, are 'good ideas' (of how to make the best use of the existing tools provided) and 'language' (a means to express the idea).
